WHAT WE OFFER

Our professionals will perform diagnostic tests, fluid flush and fills, engine replacement, oil changes, and total vehicle overhauls.

BRAKES

Depending on the results of the braking system evaluation, your vehicle brake service may include:
brake pads replacement, brake rotors/drums resurfaced, brake fluid flush & replacement, brake caliper & rotor re-alignment, brake caliper replacement, brake hose replacement, and brake master cylinder replacement.

What is included in car AC service?

Your technician will hook your vehicle up to a special refrigerant recovery system and drain any of the harmful gas from your car. At this point, the technician will inspect all of your air conditioning hard lines to make sure there are no obvious cracks. They may add a tracer dye to the system to help out.

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

Preventive maintenance is the care and protection of your vehicle against potential major auto repairs. Negligence is the most common and costly way to see money wasted on repairs that could have easily been prevented through regular service intervals. Preventive maintenance is the key to any successful maintenance program for motor vehicles. Vehicles are inspected, repaired, and maintained in such a way that defects are prevented from surfacing in the first place before a violation or accident can occur.

CATALYTIC CONVERTER

A catalytic converter is an exhaust emission control device that reduces toxic gases and pollutants in exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine into less-toxic pollutants by catalyzing a redox reaction (an oxidation and a reduction reaction).

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DIAG

What does your check engine light mean?
The check engine light is a signal that the onboard diagnostics system has detected a malfunction in the vehicle’s emissions, ignition, fuel or exhaust systems. All cars and light trucks have indicators that are supposed to detect engine-related problems that affect the drivability and performance of the vehicle

COOLING SYSTEM

How does a cooling system work in a car?
A liquid cooling system works by passing liquid continually through the passages in the engine block. Powered by the water pump, the coolant is pushed through the engine block. As the solution travels through these passages, it absorbs heat from the engine. There is a thermostat between the engine and the radiator.

DIY tips

Drive it!

Believe it or not, not driving your car really puts a toll on the battery.  You will damage the battery because it is not being recharged.  If you are not driving around, at least run it 15 to 20 minutes every third or fourth day, but driving it is much better for the car.

Change your oil

Even if your car isn’t running very much, your oil could still need changing. Over time, the oil itself begins to break down even if you don’t drive a lot of miles.

Depending on the grade of oil used and the car, a manufacturer may suggest, for example, changing your oil every three months or 3,000 miles. It’s very unlikely that most of us will drive 3,000 miles in three months during the pandemic. Times like this when you aren’t driving, most manufacturers would say either do the number of miles or months, whichever comes first.

Top it off

We suggest keeping the gas tank full. Why? It prevents condensation in your tank, which can lead to rust and corrosion, and cause damage.

MOST POPULAR SERVICES

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Have a dead battery? Want to replace the fuse or alternator? Your car’s electrical system is a complicated network that demands specialized diagnostic equipment for satisfactory servicing. Our technician can access your vehicle’s current condition with diagnostic tools, and using our strategic diagnostic process, will be able to identify the exact cause of any of its electrical problems.

STATE INSPECTIONS

We provide top-notch service for import and domestic car repairs such as: Brakes Repair, Engine Repairs, Electrical Systems.

FILTERS

The engine air filter, or air filter, winnows the air entering your engine and protects its sensitive parts from debris, dust, smoke, and other unwanted particles. If the smog /air filter fails, our technician would replace it with a new one, as in most cases it can’t be fixed. You can also change it on your own as a DIY.

SUSPENSION SYSTEM

The suspension system of a vehicle refers to the group of mechanical components that connect the wheels to the frame or body. A great deal of engineering effort has gone into the design of suspension systems because of an unending effort to improve vehicle ride and handling along with passenger safety and comfort.

FUEL INJECTION

An engine will not perform at its best without the proper air/fuel mixture. The fuel system of a modern computer-controlled fuel-injected engine is so reliable that it seems to be almost maintenance-free, but these modern fuel-injected engines have fuel injectors that become flow restricted or “dirty” with use.

TIMING BELT

Timing belts are essentially reinforced rubber bands that coordinate the rotation of the crankshaft and camshaft in your car’s internal combustion engine. They control engine operation, and some power the water pump too. Timing belts are usually manufactured from high-quality rubber and nylon-reinforced cords.

TIRES

For over many years, Service Tire Centers have provided top-quality commercial tires and tire-related services in the Northeast. We’re proud to stock the absolute best in tires for working vehicles, with a wide selection of options suitable for any application.

TRANSMISSION

We assume that all motorists pretty much know what the gearbox in the car is used for – but it’s probably far from anyone who knows how it actually works. The transmission is a basic part of your car. It is mounted directly on the engine and converts the engine’s combustion power to momentum which drives the wheels.

BATTERY

Performing a Battery Service/Test will: determine the current condition and functionality of the battery, help maintain proper alternator operation, and help to increase battery life and reliable starting. We Recommend a Battery Service/Test once a year or every 15,000 miles.

WHEEL ALIGNMENT

Bring your vehicle to our shop or your dealership’s service drive. There are a lot of different aspects to wheel alignment, so it’s important to use an experienced technician. Many auto repair shops and/or dealerships offer a free wheel alignment check.

TUNE UP

A car tune up can certainly be an ambiguous request or service, as it can mean different things for different people. Some car owners refer to an auto tune up as merely a regular check-up, to make sure that their car is in good shape and everything is working correctly.
